We have a heritage site, The Malebogo Boer War Battlefield that was declared the Provincial Heritage Site by the Limpopo Heritage Resources Authority in February 2007.
Malebogo was the great leader of the Bahananwa people who fought against colonialism in his area. In September 2006 during the Heritage month, the Premier of Limpopo Province Sello Moloto unveiled the statue of this great leader of Bahanwana people Kgoi Rathatha Malebogo.
Today, Kgoshi Malebogo's name has become a rallying point and an embodiment of noble anti-colonial battles of the Bahanwana people and is counted amongst the many nation-builders of the country such as Nghunghunyane, Shaka, Bhambata, Sekhukhune, Makhado, Mokopane and many others who shed blood for the peoples liberation.
